Floating roof tanks require a
drainage system that
automatically drains the accumulating rainwater off the floating roof. The upper scissor pipe is
connected to
the roof drain valve, the lower scissor pipe is connected to the bottom pipes. Via the
operational open roof
drain valves the water is transferred by the drainage system out of the tank.
Suction Units - FSU – are designed
to ensure that
product in a storage tank is drawn off just below the surface of the liquid where it is
cleanest, preventing the
suction point being at the bottom of the tank where water and residuals will settle down.
An oil skimmer is a mechanism that
removes floating
oil and grease from liquid. The floating oil adheres to skimming media, such as a belt, tube,
rope, mop, or
disk. The media then runs back to the machine to be wiped clean. Weir style skimmers use a pump
to collect
floating oils.

storage tank.

An Agitator/Mixer is a machine used
in a tank for
mixing various process media together. Media include all liquid types, gases & solids (such
as salts,
powders, granules etc). In summary, it works by rotating an impeller to impart energy to the
media which
interact and mix.
